What is the process for procuring additional CALs when the purchased quantity is exhausted?
Siberson Verikor DLP licensing is based on Client Access Licenses (CALs) allocated per user. When the initially purchased CAL quantity is fully consumed — for example, as a result of organizational growth, headcount expansion, or the onboarding of previously unlicensed user populations — additional CALs can be procured through a straightforward mid-cycle process:
- Top-up procurement: Additional CALs can be purchased at any point during the active license term without requiring a full renewal or contract renegotiation. The new CALs are added to the existing entitlement and take effect immediately upon commercial confirmation.
- Co-termination: Supplementary CALs purchased mid-cycle are typically co-terminated with the existing license period, ensuring a single unified renewal date and simplifying ongoing license management. Pro-rated pricing applies for the remaining term.
- Proactive capacity monitoring: Organizations are advised to monitor CAL consumption through the Siberson Verikor DLP management console, which provides visibility into current license utilization against total entitlement. Engaging Siberson or the appointed channel partner before exhaustion avoids any enforcement gap.
- Volume threshold reassessment: A top-up purchase represents an appropriate moment to reassess whether the organization's growth trajectory warrants moving to a higher volume tier — which may unlock improved per-unit pricing under the tiered licensing structure.
