Oman Personal Data Protection Law (Royal Decree 6/2022) and Its Executive Regulation

Oman's Personal Data Protection Law was issued by Royal Decree No. 6/2022, with its Executive Regulation issued under Ministerial Decision No. 34/2024 and in force from January 2024. The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology is the regulator, and the transition period ended in February 2026. Locating personal data is normally the first practical step.
